 Tianjin Jinnan Economic Development Area is a comprehensive city development area with introduction of industrial projects as main and trade & logistics service as auxiliary approved and established by Tianjin Municipal Government in July of 1992. Located in the southeast of Tianjin, it is an important component of Tianjin “one axis two strips” economic development strategy “urban development main axis”.
The development area has a total planned area of 18 km2, composed of east and west area which form a “one area two districts” development pattern and separately have good geographical position and investment advantages. After more than ten years lasting efforts, with an evidently improved internal and external environment, established service organs including post office, hospital, hotel, bank, customs office, customs broker, police, etc., a formed “one stop” service system and network including enterprise investment, construction and later period management, Tianjin Jinnan Economic Development Area, absolutely possessing conditions for various enterprises investment, operation and development, is one of the most potential development areas in Tianjin.
Jinnan Economic Development Area (east), located in Shuangqiaohe Town, Jinnan District, with a planned area of 10 km2, only one road away from Binhai New Area, close to Tianjin Xingang Port and Jigang Railway Xianshuigu freight station,has convenient transportation on railway, highway, air, river and sea transport. The planning Tianjin Avenue and Jingu Second Part highway cross the development area, evidently shortening the distance to the downtown, forming a convenient highway network. The area has been perfectly equipped with infrastructure, achieving “seven supplies and one leveling”, i.e. supply of water, road, electricity, gas, heat, communication, drainage and leveled ground. 110KVA、35KVA transformer substation and water company with daily water supply capacity of 20,000 tons, have provided enterprises with adequate power and water. The east area regards electronic information, plastics, machinery equipment manufacturing, and so on as main.
Jinnan Economic Development Area (west), situated in the edge of Tianjin outer ring line, joined with Tianjin downtown, close to Tianjin Binhai International Airport, skirted by outer ring line, Jingu Road, Lishuang Road, has a planned area of 8 km2. The area has also been equipped with infrastructure. TEDA International School and advanced dwelling community provides investors with excellent living environment. The west area regards light industry, food, biological product manufacturing, and so on as main. With special geographical position, excellent investment environment, rational layout design, efficient service management system, it has become one of hot areas of investment by Chinese and foreign investors.
The geographical advantage of Jinnan Economic Development Area only one road away from Binhai New Area provides opportunities for its future development. With Tianjin overall industry layout design and industry eastern-move strategy, the future industry development orientation of Jinnan Economic Development Area is, on the current basis, to exert the eastern and western area advantages of mutual improvement and development, accelerate the pace of project, fund, technology and talent introduction, enable both areas to form obvious industrial characteristics. The east area regards electronic information, plastics, auto parts, machinery equipment manufacturing as main, while the west area, making use of the geographical advantage that its area belongs to Tianjin city extension range, focuses on the development of real estate industry, with light industry, food, biological science and technology as main; concentrating the strength on the increasing of tertiary industry. The establishment and development of “Tianjin International Metal Logistics” and “Innovation Park” will be the emphasis and bright spot of development area work.
In the future, with ascendant geographical position, abundant resources, convenient transportation, complete equipment, intensive talents, smooth communication, and being the component and rear base of Binhai New Area economic development, Jinnan Economic Development Area has become one warm land for Tianjin investment and exploration. And Jinnan Economic Development Area Administrative Committee will also engage in long term development, respect and welcome Chinese and foreign investors to inspect and invest.
