Along with the development of Bohai Sea Rim Region, development and opening of Binhai New Area and execution of Tianjin industry eastern-move strategy, Jinnan Development Area will grasp opportunities, promote projects, build platform and upgrade industry structure; form a comprehensive region of complete functions including industry manufacturing (main), logistics and warehousing, real estate development, service outsourcing, creative industry, and so on; concentrate on the establishment of bases such as “Tianjin Electronics & Information Integrated Production Concentration Area”, “Plastics Production Processing Area”, “Machinery Equipment Manufacturing Base”, “Tianjin International Metal Logistics”, “Entrepreneurial Management”, etc.; intensively use land, scientifically plan land, focus on Chinese and foreign transnational enterprises groups, specially develop advantageous industry, and establish itself to be a leading region of Jinnan economic development. With an area of 20 km² and gross value of industrial output of ￥28 billions, it will be an important part of Binhai New Area construction, pursuing unique development road on driving regional economic development and forming specialized industry chain.

East Area Tianjin Jinnan Economic Development Area (east) has a planned area of 10 km2 and has 3.7 km2 developed. The planned area starts from Jingu Road in the north, adjacent to Jinjin expressway in the south, to Hangang highway in the east, to Xianpai River in the west. The area has orderly arranged roads and rationally planned enterprises. In the current, it has formed its pillar industry as electronics & information, plastic product, machinery equipment, and will continually work in the development of three leading industry and extension of metal trade and logistics to form a situation that secondary and tertiary mutually support and promote.

West Area Tianjin Jinnan Economic Development Area (west) has a planned area of 8 km2 and has 4 km2 developed, skirted by outer ring line, Jingu Road and Lishuang Road. In the area roads cross with each other. North-south roads are Xinggang Road, Wanggang Road, Fagang Road, Dagang Road; east-west streets are Chilong Street, Chongqing Street, Beijing Street, Tianjin Street, Shanghai Street. It focuses on industrial development together with business-living, tourism, trade and other industries. Advanced living community provides Chinese and foreign merchants with expected living environment, and the international school (Tianjin) Branch also brings some humanity color for the development area
